The Beach that Doesn't Sleep

By now we are all suffering from the winter blues.  We are all thinking Spring, Summer and warm weather. Many people think the beach is just for the summer months.  Wrong!  I am actually relocating to the beach.  I'll be splitting my time between Cape May, NJ and the Hudson Valley.  One of the things I have learned in the past few years is that Cape May doesn't sleep and it's a thriving young wine region with 6 wineries, a brewery and growing.  It doesn't go to bed on Labor Day and wake up on Memorial Day. It is quite a happening place.

Need a "Girlfriends Getaway" before the summer commitments take over.  April 19-21 is your weekend to shine with food, wine and fashion. Spend quality time with your girlfriends and have some fun.  Kick off the weekend Friday afternoon at the Physick Estate for an Upton Abbey Afternoon Tea in the Carriage House Café & Tearoom at 3pm. (admission $30)

Saturday spend the day traveling the Cape May Wine Trail.  Your tour includes trolley transportation and lunch at Aleathea’s Restaurant. You'll visit Natali Vineyards, Hawk Haven Vineyards and Willow Creek Winery. (cost is $75 and includes lunch, trolley and wine tasting)

Sunday is the day of fun and fashion with Brunch, Bingo & Lace. Have some laughs playing bingo and then it's time for fashion show by Lace Silhouettes/Cotton Company.  All this takes place at the Inn of Cape May.  (admission $25)
