Sky Bar - Wine Preservation System (The One)

As we were getting ready for dinner the other night Summer's favorite "man in brown" appeared at our door carrying a large box.  I had no idea what was in the box as I didn't remember ordering anything. To my surprise it was the Sky Bar - The One, wine preservation system.  Timing couldn't have been more perfect as we were just opening a bottle of Hudson-Chatham 2010 Empire Reserve and dinner was in the oven.

What did Paul and I do, we put it together.  After taking it out of the box it didn't fit under our kitchen counter which is 17" high. Bummer, so we moved it to sit on top of our wine cellar in the dining room.  Installation was easy, so easy, even I could do it as I assembled the door.

Here are the pros:
  • Cord wrap on back
  • nice light
  • quick start guide very good
  • chiller easy to use
  • doesn't take CO2 dispensers (like the one we had)
Negatives
  • Size - a bit large and bulky
  • Doesn't do bottles with crown caps or bubbly.
Here is the video of us putting it together.  (For some reason the second video was corrupt on my computer and I couldn't get it to work in the program, but worked fine on YouTube..hence why there aren't one.)

The Sky Bar - The One retails for $349.99.  They also make one that holds 3 bottles and that retails for $849.99.  Definitely a keeper.  Anyone want my old one with the CO2?

**Disclaimer - I received this product for review from the manufacturer
