Eat, sip and listen is what you can do during Euphoria a four day event running September 20 - 23, 2012 in Greenville, South Carolina.
Euphoria was founded in 2006 by singer songwriter Edwin McCain and restauranteur Carl Sobocinski to educate, entice and entertain. The weekend events include tasting events, cooking demonstrations, wine seminars, wine parings and multi-course dinners.
Thursday evening begins the event with the 2012 Songwriter's Recipe, songs and stories from Euphoria, unplugged with wine from J. Lohr Vineyards. Also Thursday evening is New Recipe of Rhapsody at the Bohemian Cafe. This event will feature hor d'oeuvres, great beverage selections and music featuring jazz musicians Mark Rapp, Walter Blanding and Derek Lee Bronston.
Fun for Friday is the seminar for wine lovers, pairing wine and stories behind the grapes with music accompaniment. That is lead in to the Taste of the South where there is music and a full array of southern dishes from a selection of Greenville's favorite restaurants. (of course there will be wine and beer)
If you are a beer lover, Saturday the Beer Garden will be featuring a variety of local and regional breweries. In the Tasting showcase you can find culinary demos, gourmet food sampling, beer and wine tasting. Don't forget about the seminars on Saturday. There are three to choose from: Riesling Rocks, Best on a Budget and Palate Predictions.
Sunday you can end your wonderful weekend of music, food and wine with the Sunday Supper. This farm to table experience serves as the exclamation point to the
weekend allowing guests to break bread with our elite line-up of local
and guest chefs.
Need a place to stay for the festivities. Local hotels include:
Hyatt Regency Greenville
The Westin Poinsett
Courtyard by Marriott
Hampton Inn and Suites.
Sounds like it is going to be a great fun filled weekend of great food and drink!
