LaGrange by Whitecliff

I worked on the blending of this wine and wasn't sure I was going to be a big fan of it.  I'm not a big fan of Cayuga but have recently had wine with Cayuga blended in and it wasn't bad.

With an open mind and palate I tasted Whitecliff's LaGrange White. The nose is nothing remarkable, hint of grape and wet stone.  Palate has hints of peach with a nice balance in the acidity.

Cayuga tends to be a grape with high acidity.  With 4% residual sugar I wasn't sure what to expect.  The sweetness balances out the acidity nicely and gives the wine a nice rounded mouth feel without tasting overly sweet.
