This year each event will focus
on the products of the wineries with tastings
of artisan cheeses and local products that compliment the wine. Taking the event on the road gives allows the opportunity to shine on our local food craftsman
members and what is available in the Hudson Valley. These smaller, more
intimate, art of local events gives people the chance to go to different counties in
our program and allow different people to learn about a specific food artisan
in that community.
The Art of Local kicks off Saturday March 24, 2012 from 12pm - 5pm at Robibero Family Vineyards in New Paltz. Experience the true artisanship of Robibero's wines paired with locally grown food prepared by the Chef's Consortium. Ulster County's Acorn Hill Farm will be offering tastings of their artisan cheese.
The wines being sampled and paired will be Robibero's 2010 87 North; 2010 Dry Riesling; 2010 Rabbit's Foot and the 2008 Pinot Noir
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by clicking here.

Local wine? Read the labels -- they buy most of their wines finished, bottled, and labeled from other producers and regions. Why do you indulge these producers?
We are a small start up winery and before we completed the construction of our facility, we produced our wine in two custom crush facilities under our direction. Since we opened our doors in 2010 we have been producing wine onsite in our cellar. I’m not sure if you are a fan of ours on facebook, I will assume you are not, but on our page you can see numerous photos of our entire winemaking process from crushing grapes to bottling. I recommend the next time you are in the area to come see for yourself. I will even have my winemaker give you a personal and private tour of our cellar and you can sample our wine right from the barrels and tanks.
